Eleven o'clock hit and a line formed outside of our Los Angeles studio. Individuals from all levels of artistry came through our doors and were greeted with refreshments and our LA team of artists.
Once everyone was seated, our Director Vanessa Cervantes revealed the history of Poise Makeup Professional: our skincare origins and professional makeup artists' focus. She passed the spotlight to Makeup Artist & Educator Bryana Rodriguez who facilitated the workshop. This makeup demonstration provided tips on how to create a photoshoot ready smoky eye using HD Creme Multitasking Colors and Mineral Pressed Eye Color. The look was softly blended & highly pigmented.
Bry works as both a Hairstylist and Makeup Artist and has a cosmetology and esthetics license. She has worked on every type of job in the beauty industry and loves to use Poise Makeup Professional's HD Creme formula because it's HD quality and finish on the skin. Bry worked in sections when applying foundation to Model, Hannah Kling.
First she started with Hannah's undertone in the center of the face. This application worked to even skin tone and cover any imperfections such as redness or sun damage. Next, she used a HD Creme Foundation shade that was two shades lighter. This color brightened and highlighted the points Bry wanted to bring forward on the face. Lastly, Bry picked up a much darker shade that was about 6 shades lighter with a neutral undertone and blended this in the areas she wanted to contour.
She finished the base with Mineral Pressed Cheek Colors and finalized the look with Waterproof Black Mascara and Liquid Matte in Heirloom.
Once the look was complete, brushes were handed out and the group was paired off to recreate the look on their partners. The room was filled with creative energy and music to match it. Sunday's event ended with Certificates of Completion, Essential Makeup Kits & a discounted shopping experience. Everyone came in and left as artists, but with more knowledge under their brush belt!
